Each year the Archdiocese of Seattle celebrates the saints of our many cultural communities with a special Celebration Of Our Saints Mass. Once a year, a diverse mix of people from across the Archdiocese gather at St. James Cathedral which is the home parish of these masses. These masses quite visibly call out the cultural diversity of our Catholic faith and saints often not seen on the walls of our U.S. churches. Saints are a pathway helping us grow closer to God. They are examples of holiness and transformation. Just as youād ask a friend to pray for you, because of their closeness to God, we can ask them to pray (to intercede) on our behalf to God.
